Polres Barito Utara Tangkap Dua Pengedar Narkoba dengan Barang Bukti 99,47 Gram Sabu di Barito Utara
Tim Satuan Reserse Narkoba (Satnarkoba) Polres Barito Utara, Polda Kalimantan Tengah, berhasil menangkap dua tersangka pengedar narkotika jenis sabu-sabu di Kabupaten Barito Utara. Kedua tersangka, berinisial AF (29), warga Desa Rarawa, Kecamatan Gunung Timang, dan WI (27), warga Desa Jaman, Kecamatan Gunung Timang, diamankan oleh petugas di Jalan Negara Muara Teweh-Banjarmasin, tepatnya di RT 001, Desa Tapen Raya, Kecamatan Gunung Timang, pada Jumat malam (6/9/2024).
Penangkapan ini bermula dari laporan masyarakat yang mencurigai seringnya terjadi transaksi narkoba di lokasi tersebut. Setelah menerima laporan, tim Satnarkoba segera melakukan penyelidikan dan penindakan terhadap kedua tersangka. Ketika akan ditangkap, salah satu tersangka sempat berusaha membuang barang bukti ke tebing di pinggir jalan. Namun, upaya tersebut gagal karena petugas sigap menemukan barang bukti yang berupa sabu-sabu seberat 99,47 gram.
Kapolres Barito Utara, AKBP Gede Eka Yudharma, S.I.K., M.A.P., melalui Kasihumas Polres Barito Utara, Kompol Sugiya, menjelaskan bahwa penangkapan ini merupakan bagian dari upaya serius kepolisian dalam memberantas peredaran narkoba di wilayah Barito Utara. Kedua tersangka beserta barang bukti telah diamankan untuk proses hukum lebih lanjut.
“Kami berterima kasih atas partisipasi masyarakat yang telah memberikan informasi. Ini adalah bukti nyata bahwa kolaborasi antara masyarakat dan kepolisian sangat penting dalam menjaga wilayah kita dari bahaya narkoba,” kata Kompol Sugiya pada Minggu 8/9/2024 pagi (4n5)
