Polresta Palangka Raya – Saat lampu merah di beberapa persimpangan utama, personel Satuan Lalu Lintas (Satlantas) Polresta Palangka Raya menggelar kegiatan Dikmas Lantas (Sosialisasi dan Pendidikan Masyarakat tentang Lalu Lintas).
Kegiatan ini dilakukan untuk meningkatkan kesadaran pengendara akan pentingnya keselamatan berlalu lintas, terutama dalam hal mematuhi aturan dan tanda lalu lintas.
Di tengah antrean kendaraan saat lampu merah, anggota Satlantas mendekati pengendara untuk memberikan himbauan tentang keselamatan berlalu lintas, seperti penggunaan helm, sabuk pengaman, dan pentingnya menjaga jarak aman.
Selain itu, petugas juga membagikan selebaran informasi mengenai peraturan lalu lintas dan cara aman berkendara.
Kasat Lantas Polresta Palangka Raya, AKP Egidio Sumilat menjelaskan, pihaknya memanfaatkan waktu saat lampu merah untuk memberikan edukasi langsung kepada pengendara.
“Hal ini bertujuan, agar mereka lebih sadar akan keselamatan dan mematuhi peraturan lalu lintas.
Kegiatan ini juga untuk menurunkan angka kecelakaan lalu lintas di Palangka Raya,” katanya mewakili Kapolresta Palangka Raya, Kombes Pol. Dr. Boy Herlambang, S.I.K., M.Si., Jum’at (8/11/2024) siang.
Dengan pendekatan yang humanis dan edukatif, Satlantas Polresta Palangka Raya berharap dapat meningkatkan disiplin berlalu lintas di kalangan masyarakat dan menciptakan budaya keselamatan di jalan raya. (4n5)
